Consequences

Consequences computations for the Coastal Hazard and Risk Toolkit (CHART) are implemented for direct economic losses to structures. Additionally Life Safety, Critical Infrastructure, and Environmental Justice are planned in future iterations of the tool.

Economic consequences are provided via combination of the hazard data with the National Structure Inventory (NSI), a set of damage functions, and the go-consequences consequence engine. Read more about Economic losses in the Economic Consequences subsection.
