Overview

This effort delivers software support to districts for the CWMS AIS program. The support encompasses server-side processes that handle a variety of back-end functions, including user authentication, coordination of user operations, connectivity to the CWMS Oracle database and HEC-DSS files, system administration, and multiple automated workflows. Maintenance services cover automated tasks such as acquiring data from multiple redundant sources, performing low-level data validation to identify suspicious values, executing routine calculations like daily average river flows, and generating standardized reports (e.g., plots and tables) for district web pages. Additionally, designated data is routed to national databases that support public access, USACE Headquarters Emergency Operations, and other enterprise-level applications.

Accomplishments

CWMS 3.5 Server Testing

This task ended up including server testing for both CWMS 3.4 and 3.5 as the release of 3.4 was extended into FY25 and included a 3.4.1 release.

CWMS 3.5 Server Build and Deployments

This task included release and deployment of 3.4 server as the release of 3.4 took place in FY25.  This included distributing the 3.4 release to districts as well as assisting districts in a new server side key generation process to allow CWMS 3.4 and migrating CWMS server to java 11.

Field Support

Continuous field support was given throughout the fiscal year.  HEC staff assisted districts with numerous issues related to CWMS server and database.
