Funding was used in FY25 to support a re-design of the Water Quality Database. Coordination among the project delivery team (PDT) was completed to discuss database design changes and the path forward for the Amazon Relational Database Service (AWS RDS). Work was started by the contractor handling the database schema changes and it was reviewed. A GitHub workspace was created to manage the API work and support the database migration. Recent discussions have focused on user permission management in Postgres—making access more granular—which ties in nicely with user authorization for tighter security and better role-based control.
