The Data Validation Editor in HEC-RTS allows you to validate and edit incoming data in two ways:
- Graphically – using the graphical editing area (top half of the dialog)
- Tabularly – using the data table (bottom half of the dialog)
This guide will walk you through both methods.

Editing Data in the Graphical Area
- Follow these instructions to open the Data Validation Editor using your preferred method.
- Use the zoom tool to focus on the area of concern in the plot.
- Select an appropriate editing tool — either the single-point or multi-point editor.
- Click directly on the plot to make your edits.
- When finished, click Accept or Accept All to apply your changes.
Editing Data in the Tabular Area
