The Toolbar (Figure 1) contains buttons that provide you with the capability to open a DSS or CWMS database file, plot the data, edit the data in a table, edit the data from a graphical editor, and apply math functions to the data. These buttons provide a shortcut to the respective commands in the Display menu.

Open File –an Open HEC-DSS File browser will open, which allows you to select a DSS file.

Open CWMS Database– opens the CWMS database browser that allows you to select a database.

Plot – plots the data of the selected pathname(s).

Tabulate – displays the data of the selected pathname(s) in a tabular form.

Graphical Edit – displays the data of the selected pathname(s) in a graphical editor.

Math Functions – allows the user to perform math functions on the data of the selected pathname(s) from the Math Functions dialog.

The File Information panel (Figure 1) displays the filename or database and path of the opened file/database, and statistics about the pathnames in the file and the size of the file or number of data sets in the CWMS database.

The Pathname Filters (Figure 2) are used to sort pathnames by parts. The filters will change depending on which type of file is opened, either DSS or CWMS database. There is a filter list for each individual part, A through F for DSS records, and filters for CWMS database identifiers (Figure 2). The Pathname Table displays the filtered data set names contained in the database. The pathnames are displayed by the individual parts. The Selected Pathname List displays the pathnames that you selected from the Pathname Table.
