Release Notes
CWMS-Vue has now been packaged as its own standalone package that is independent of the traditional HEC-RTS software package. The CWMS-Vue build can be replaced in the CWMS-v3.5 package without impact to anything within the CAVI except for opening the application directly under CAVI Tools→Applications→CWMS-Vue. All the other shortcuts from the CAVI will open the embedded CWMS-Vue (v4.0.1) and will only display the Time Series Tabs.
New Features
Below are the major features added since CWMS-Vue v4.1.0.
On-Demand Updater
Newly integrated functionality in CWMS-Vue now allows users to sync application updates on demand. The new On-Demand Updater enables users to receive build updates without downloading an entire installation package; instead, it compares the user’s local copy to the latest build and only downloads and updates the components that have changed. This feature will be used to deploy bug fixes, security patches, and performance enhancements more quickly and will support resolving issues uncovered during the cloud migration process. By reducing the size and frequency of full installations, it also helps minimize ongoing impacts and long-term, unnecessary workarounds for end users. At this time, the On-Demand Updater is enabled only for the standalone CWMS-Vue client. It is not available for the CWMS-Vue instance that is embedded in RTS (i.e. when launched from the RTS CWMS-Vue icon).
To check for updates, navigate to Help → Check for Updates.... This will check whether any version updates are available and will either indicate that you are running the latest version or that an updated version is available and you can choose to sync with it. If Install Update is selected, it will sync new files and/or files that have changed, which may take a few moments. Once the sync is complete, it will prompt the user that CWMS-Vue will be restarted.
Location Level Editor Enhancement
The ability to add an expiration to a location level from within the Location Level editor.
Location Kind Editor
In support to migrate features from CMA top CWMS-Vue, location kind editors have been added to the Locations Tab of CWMS-Vue.
Known Issues
Below is a list of Known Issues and their current status. Issues with a status of Resolved have been addressed and are included in CWMS-Vue 4.2.
