The MetInterp Editor is a tool for creating, editing and running MetInterp computations. This tool can be accessed through the button. When launching the editor for the first time, the editor will show up with most of the components disabled, but those will become enabled after a control file is selected. This can be done with the "Open..."button, "New..." button, directly typing the control file path into the text field. Components outside the tabbed section are described in the image below. Within the editor there is the General Settings, Gage Settings, Interpolation and Adjustment Settings, and Output Settings.
The MetInterp Editor functions differently than most editors in HEC-MetVue. While the MetInterp Editor is open, the user can continue to interact with the main MetVue window. Additionally, the Map Window used for MetInterp is populated with the resulting TIN from points specified in the MetInterp editor. This allows the user to add/remove/edit points both in the MetInterp Editor and the Map Window. Any add/remove/edit actions performed by the user, either in the MetInterp Editor or Map Window, are tracked, and therefore undo/redo functionality can be leveraged.
