Zones

Zones form a grouping of polygons from Maps loaded in a Map Window. The primary purpose of these zones is for performing Zonal Adjustments across different regions of a watershed. These zones may be based on any user need for grouping basins spatially, but a few common applications include:

• Regions with similar elevation
• Regions with similar weather phenomenon (i.e. windward vs leeward slopes)
• Regions with similar operational constraints (i.e. basins contributing to flow at engineering structures within a watershed)
• Regions with similar data errors (i.e. areas with dense or sparse gage coverage)
