The CWMS and WMES fees are assessed based on the number of licenses allocated to each individual district/division's water management office. The license allocation is determined by the WMES/CWMS CCB and is based upon the magnitude of an office's water management mission, which considers such things as the number of dams and locks within the office's Area of Responsibility (AOR), the volume of flows, the river miles of leveed river below projects, the size of population centers protected by these projects, etc. See Appendix B for the breakout of licenses per office. The FY24 CWMS ERC budget is $1,611,000 and the WMES ERC budget is $4,024,000.
