The Corps Water Management System (CWMS) is the automated information system (AIS) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers supporting the Corps' water management mission. CWMS runs on the Water Management Enterprise System (WMES) and provides data collection, processing, decision support modeling, data dissemination, and graphics tools for each local office to effectively execute the water management mission specific to their district/division.
WMES is also an AIS and is the integrated system of all the software (CWMS, database, COTS, and open-source applications), hardware (servers, appliances, and DCPs), communication resources, and system's architecture used by the USACE Water Management Community of Practice (CoP) to perform the USACE real-time water management mission. WMES is designed with enterprise standards, with a base infrastructure that is built and managed by the USACE service provider, CIO/G6.
This document describes the Project Management Plan (PMP) for WMES and CWMS. The purpose of this PMP is to:
- Define the scope of WMES and CWMS development for Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) including products, milestones, schedules, resourcing, and funding.
- Document other project work (funded separately) that benefits the development of CWMS or helps the field accomplish the USACE water management mission.
The End of Year Report documents the accomplishments of the CWMS and WMES programs from the previous fiscal year. That report can be found here.
