The major focus for the team in FY24 is the release of HEC-ResSim 3.5, including bug fixes and final testing. Once version 3.5 is released ,the focus will shift to the release of HEC-ResSim 4.0. The main activities include testing and documenting the new Water Quality capabilities, completing bug fixes and testing existing software features, as well as implementing DevOps improvements (mainly automated testing). These activities will improve the ability of the team to release new versions of HEC-ResSim in the future.
One feature within HEC-ResSim that many water management offices use is the Operational Support Interface (OSI). To improve the capabilities within the OSI and to get more offices using the tool, the team will also focus on identifying and fixing bugs, continue testing and documentation of the OSI, and design new enhancements to the tool for future development.
The team will also continue to provide support to the field as part of this year's efforts.
