Project Management activities include developing the initial PMP, reviewing progress continuously, and updating the PMP as needed. Other activities include coordinating and documenting quarterly calls, tracking and reporting monthly updates on the ERC obligations and expenditures to USACE HQ, reporting on current and future planning budgets and projects in OMB's Folio system, assisting with various CECI data calls, and presenting at the Council of Colonels (CoC) and Investment Review Board (IRB) meetings.
CWMS and WMES are registered in the Army Portfolio Management Solution (APMS), a system the Army uses to track IT investments. There are multiple data calls throughout the year to update information stored within the APMS system.
The CWMS and WMES programs will use Jira to track project management activities in FY25. Jira is a software package that helps the team organize work, create milestones, and track dependencies. The team will use Jira to continuously monitor progress on all activities throughout the year. Jira will also be used to help staff when preparing briefings for upward reporting to IWR and HQ staff.
The Operating Principles defined in ER 5-1-11 will be used to govern the work performed by the CWMS and WMES programs. The team will collaborate with stakeholders (the users of the software) to determine the goals and objectives of the program.
Funds from both the CWMS and WMES programs will be used for project management activities, as shown in the table below.
Funding Source | Amount |
---|
CWMS | $145,000 |
WMES | $280,000 |
Total | $425,000 |
