A major effort will take place this year as the team retires HEC-DSS 6 and migrates to HEC-DSS 7. This effort will help modernize all software packages within CWMS. The team will also work on improving the SHEF-DSS import and export functionality this year. Lastly, the team will work on developing a Python API for HEC-DSS, which will allow users to write scripts using Python once the work is complete.
CWMS-Vue
A contract to support data read/write using CWMS-Data-API through CWMS-Vue has been issued, and as the work is completed the team will be testing the new builds. Other work will focus on enhancements for the Graphical Editor and Validation Editor within CWMS-Vue, such as adding new fill options, short name "alias" vs full pathname in dropdown lists, and adding additional layout options. Work to incorporate CMA functionality into CWMS-Vue will begin with design meetings this FY. Technology transfer will also be a focus for the team, as there is a data workshop planned for later in the FY. As new features are added to CWMS-Vue, the team will work on updating the User's Manual and other documentation. Lastly, the team will continue to provide support to the field on an as-needed basis.
