Overview
Cumulus is the CWMS national gridded data service. It is a centralized web service that collects and archives real-time and forecast meteorological products (primarily precipitation, temperature, and snow) from the National Weather Service and other sources. Users can download data on-demand using the main Cumulus website and through the CAVI extract editor.

Maintenance, Support, and Product Additions
The team fulfilled a dozen district requests on area of interest extents updates for Cumulus downloads. The team addressed a dozen issues with existing products, including missing data due to source outages and Cumulus performance issues. The team also coordinated with the CWBI Project Management office and CWBI contractor on the setup of a new CWBI GovCloud infrastructure to support all of CWMS (Cumulus, LDM, and Airflow) cloud deployments in an automated fashion.
Onboarding New Developer
The Cumulus team increased in size in FY24, with three new members from HEC and two new members from districts (MVP and LRL) The Cumulus team now includes ten members in total.
