  • Messaging was added to better communicate to users that Plotter is best launched via the EFM interface. There had been a few instances of users clicking directly on HEC-EFMPlotter.exe to open the program, which does not provide Plotter with the necessary connections to its associated EFM project and was confusing for new users of Plotter (Figure 7).

  • Java Development Kit updated to JDK11, which includes a Java runtime environment of 11.0.20.
  • Axis labels for main and frequency plots were reviewed and adjusted as necessary for consistency. Previous versions of Plotter used a mixture of capital case and mixed case lettering.  All should now be mixed case.
  • Plot components in EFM Plotter were updated and now offer additional functionalities such as hiding/showing data via plot legends when plots are opened in new windows.
  • Developmental versions of EFM Plotter are now posted to the Nexus repository at https://www.hec.usace.army.mil/nexus/#browse/browse:maven-public:mil%2Farmy%2Fusace%2Fhec%2Fhec-efm_plotter, which is publicly accessible, though users should keep in mind that Nexus stores developmental versions. Official release versions, which have completed review processes by HEC and others, are available via the HEC EFM Plotter website at https://www.hec.usace.army.mil/software/hec-efm-plotter/.
  • Plotter is compatible with data stored in DSS6 and DSS7.
  • Issues related to opening main and frequency plots in new windows and subsequent data tabulations from those new windows were resolved. Issues manifested as blank windows (full gray, no plot shown) and exceptions that were noted in Plotter logs.  These issues were introduced during development of Plotter 4.0 (not a problem for previous versions).
  • An issue where the frequency plot showed only stage frequency data was fixed. This issue was introduced during development of Plotter 4.0 (not a problem for previous versions).
