EFMSim applications are inherently spatial. Construction of a new EFMSim model typically begins with identifying the study area to be modeled and splitting that area into collections of elements called layouts. Spatial setup also includes identifications of regions, human factors such as roads and hatcheries, and import of map layers for display purposes.
