Preferred Unit Aliases

HEC-MetVue allows for selection of Preferred Unit Aliases. This allows for the user to select the aliases they prefer, and set the default alias to be written into output data.

An editor to alter the preferred alias can be accessed with the button highlighted in the following figure. 

This will bring up the Preferred Unit Alias Editor shown in the following figure. 

A common alias to alter is the temperature units, which is shown in the figure below. The default alias for Fahrenheit is "F", but some users may prefer "Deg-F".

The second column of the Preferred Unit Alias Editor has a drop down menu with multiple aliases to select from for each of the default units.  Modified settings for the Preferred Alias will be saved after clicking the "OK" button. Clicking "Cancel" will ignore all changes made in the dialog.
