Interpolation and Average Temporal Transformation
Below is a version of the the Temporal TIN Transformation tool when interpolation is performed. Whenever the input data is INST-VAL or PER-AVER, interpolation is performed. This leads to a much simpler dialog than shown above, where the user can only select the output interval, output data type, and output type/location. When interpolation PER-AVER, the values are interpolated to the center of each time interval, and then assumed to be constant across that time interval. Alternatively, INST-VAL is assumed to apply that the defined time only. When aggregating, PER-MIN and PER-MAX may be selected. When selected, these options will compute the minimum or maximum value for each point, over the given output interval. For example, this may be useful for converting from hourly temperature to daily minimum or maximum temperature.
