When opening HEC-MetVue for the first time, the application will display with no project open. When in this state, the project tree will display a single node stating "No Project Open - Create or Open Project from File Menu", as shown below:
At this stage, the user can either create a new project, or open an existing project, with the File Menu using either of the first two options below:
If a new project file is created, the user will be prompted with the project creation instructions. The Project Creation Instructions are displayed below. This describes the project hierarchy, and approach for creating a new project file. Additionally, there is an option in the lower left of the Project Creation Instructions to prevent these instructions from showing up on future creation of HEC-MetVue project files. These instructions can always be accessed with the Help→ Project Creation Instructions option as shown below.
