Reader+ (Data Selector)

The Data Selector in the Reader+ is launched from the Add or Edit buttons in the Setup tab of the Gridded Data Editor. Currently, this editor supports loading data from DSS files or files supported by the General File Reader.

Data Location tab

In the Data Location tab, the Select Data Source drop down menu is populated DSS and File. DSS is a DSS grid reader, requiring the user to select a DSS file in this tab. Alternatively, the File option allows for selection of an input file. When using the File option, a "*" wildcard should typically be used to select multiple files.

Variable Tab

The Variable tab will be populated with the number of drop-down menus required to select a variable from the given data source. Given the example of DSS, there are four menus, one for each of the path part necessary. These drop-down menus are populated with the available path part options available in the file. When a selection is made, the fields below the selectable drop-down menus will be filled with the available data in the DSS file.
