The hydrodynamic model requires two hydraulic property tables at cells:

  1. Cumulative or total horizontal wetted cell area A_i
  2. Cumulative or total cell volume \Omega_i

The curve Ai is piece-wise constant while \Omega _{i} is piece-wise linear. The cell volume \Omega _{i}(\eta _{i}) are obtained by simple integration of Ai

Similarly the area may be obtained from the cell volumes as

It is noted that the A1 is the minimum cell area even when the cell is completely dry.
