Blocked Obstructions

HEC-RAS does not compute sediment transport with blocked obstructions, but does support models that include these features.

A 1D HEC-RAS sediment model will convert all blocked obstructions into station-elevation points, stamping them into the cross section before the first time step.  Therefore, the blocked obstruction can erode or deposit with the rest of the cross section (if it is in conveyance zone that erodes and/or deposits).
