These workshop materials accompany the Introduction to Probability and Statistics for Hydrology lecture, and will be used during the lecture. Task 1 is an exploration of the uncertainty in estimating probability from various sample sizes, using the example of a 6-sided die. Task 2 is a brief demonstration of fitting various simple probability distributions to a data set.
