HEC-WAT provides the capability of connecting models in a deterministic simulation. Deterministic simulations facilitate the computation of historical events with observed data, evaluating hypothetical or "what if" scenarios, and performing joint model calibration. Deterministic computes require sequencing models together, mapping inputs and outputs, and cross-discipline coordination. Setting up deterministic simulations is also a good first step in developing a stochastic model to ensure everything is working well before uncertainty is added to the simulation.
