Disabling a rule will have the same effect as removing a rule when running a simulation; however, the disabled rule(s) will remain in the zone-rules tree and maintain their priority placement. Disabled rules will present with a strikethrough and a red "DISABLED" will appear in the edit panel.
To disable a rule within a zone or one rule within all zones:
Right-click on the rule in the zone and select one of the following options from the context menu:
Disable Rule – will disable the rule only in the zone from which the rule has been selected
Disable Rule in All Zones – will disable the rule in all zones where the rule has been added
To enable a rule within a zone or one rule within all zones:
Right-click on the disabled rule and select one of the following options from the context menu:
Enable Rule – will enable the rule only in the zone from which the rule has been selected
Enable Rule in All Zones – will enable the rule in all zones where the rule has been added
Note: When a rule is disabled, it is still evaluated during the initial determination of the operating limits for a timestep. However, it does not impact the release decision; the evaluation is strictly done for informational purposes. This means that disabling rules will not improve the compute speed.
