HEC Website

The HEC website is the location where majority of the information provided below is hosted.

Confluence

Confluence is HEC’s modern platform for user guides and other documentation. It eliminates the need to publish and distribute PDFs that can quickly become outdated. With Confluence, updates and corrections can be made instantly—no need to wait for the next document release. Below are some useful CWMS/HEC-RTS document spaces to explore.

HEC Discourse

HEC Discourse is the primary platform for submitting technical questions and finding solutions. Please check Discourse first before contacting HEC staff or other experts directly. The forum is open to all USACE employees and is a valuable resource to see if others have experienced similar issues — many of which may already be resolved by HEC subject matter experts or fellow team members. You're also encouraged to contribute by sharing answers or insights that may help others.

When posting to Discourse, be sure to include:

  • Software version
  • Description of the issue
  • Steps to reproduce the issue
  • Expected behavior
  • Screenshots or a short video illustrating the issue

You can find the CWMS category on Discourse here.

You must be logged into Discourse to view the CWMS category. If you don't have a user account, please sign up for one on the Discourse site.

CWMS Modeling Group on Microsoft Teams

The CWMS Modeling Group on Microsoft Teams is a hub for information sharing through webinars, workshops, one-on-one collaboration, and hands-on support. It enables you to connect with other field users and, when needed, CWMS developers. The group is organized into channels, each focused on a major CWMS software component, with assigned moderators to assist you. Most questions or support requests are typically answered within 1–2 business days. There is a Training channel where CWMS modeling webinars are hosted and archived for easy access. Additionally, model-specific working sessions are held regularly, where moderators and expert users provide real-time answers during hour-long sessions.

If you’re not yet a member of the CWMS Microsoft Teams Group and want to join, please click here to request access.

CWMS Help Desk

USACE employees can email a dedicated address for CWMS support or to report bugs. However, we strongly encourage you to first check Discourse and consider posting your question there before contacting the Help Desk directly.

CWMS Wiki

The CWMS Wiki is designed to promote collaboration and interaction among CWMS users. Please keep in mind that contributions are meant to be informative and collaborative, not official statements of fact.
