Background
The Marsh of the Swans River basin drains 3,250 square miles. There are three dams in the basin with three control points located downstream of the projects on the River. The watershed is generally fast-responding, such that local runoff normally peaks within 24 hours in the upper reaches but once in the river can take three to four days to reach the downstream most control point. Dam A has an auxiliary open channel spillway at the top of the flood control pool at elevation 1056.9. Dam B has a perched auxiliary open channel spillway three feet above the top of the flood control pool at elevation 1006.57. Dam C has an auxiliary open channel spillway at the top of the flood control pool at elevation 935.42. The three control points are at J070, J080, and J110.
Objective
This workshop will cover:
Viewing HEC-ResSim results.
Setting up the Operation Support Interface (OSI) for a watershed.
Using the Operation Support Interface (OSI).
How using the OSI or release overrides ignores some HEC-ResSim rules.
