The Map Panel widget is used to display a map of the watershed. The map within the Dashboard inherits the same characteristics as the map displayed in the CAVI under the Modeling tab when the map panel is created. You can customize this map as much as needed. Once the panel is created, modifications to the map within the CAVI do not relay to the map within the Dashboard (as changes to the Map Panel do not relay back to the CAVI).
Within the Dashboard, you can modify some properties by right-clicking on the map panel tab (in the figure below it is denoted as "Map Panel 001") and selecting Properties. A Properties Editor dialog will open. In the properties editor window, you can change the tab name, border, layout, the map panel name, and the zoom coordinates. Select the ellipses on the right of the Value cell to change any of these properties. You can also change the zoom level of the map by using the magnifying glass on the left side of the panel or by using a mouse scroll wheel.
