The Cumulative Volume Scalar Decision Metrics Tab allows you to specify which metrics to calculate for every forecast.
Press the Enter Button to Save Data
For both Cumulative Volume and Percentiles the user must press the enter button in order to save the data.
At least one entry in the Cumulative Volume text box is required. The number of days to compute the cumulative volume must not exceed the Forecast Time Window
To enter Cumulative Volume, enter in full days separated by a comma.
To enter Percentiles, data must be entered as decimals separated by a comma.
The Ensemble Member with Closest Volume to Metric checkbox allows the user to determine if the additional compute should occur
The Cumulative Volume computation starts at the Time of Forecast.
Generated Results
In the above example alternative, the cumulative volume over 5 days for each ensemble member would be computed, and then the maximum of those volumes would be returned as the calculated metric.
If the parameter selected in the Locations Tab was Flow, a timeseries record with a C-Part of FLOW-CUMULATIVE(5.0DAY),MAX-Metric would be generated.
The MAX-Metric record is available to programs later in the Forecast Run to use as input through the Model Linking Editor.
Multiple metrics can be calculated within the same alternative. In the example above a total of 14 metrics are calculated at each Computation Location. The cumulative volume from the time of forecast for both 1 day and 5 days for each ensemble member is computed, and then the minimum, maximum, 20%, 50%, 75%, 99% and average of those volumes are returned as the computed metrics.
