Importing Individual Models and Model Alternatives

Individual models and their associated model alternatives can be imported into an existing CWMS watershed using the commands under the Import menu option, found in the Models menu of the Setup module.   

You can import a stand-alone model or a model that is part of another CWMS watershed.

To import individual models and model alternatives: 

1. If necessary, first create a New Watershed as detailed in Creating a Watershed.
2. Import an HEC-ResSim watershed as detailed in Creating an HEC-ResSim Alternative.
   1. It is best to import the HEC-ResSim model first, as this process creates the required stream alignment for the watershed. 
3. Import an MFP alternative as detailed in Creating an MFP Model Alternative.
   
   

   MFP Deprecation

   CWMS 3.4 is the last version of CWMS to support MFP. 

4. Import an HEC-MetVue alternative as detailed in Creating an HEC-MetVue Model Alternative.
5. Import an HEC-HMS alternative as detailed in Create a HEC-HMS Alternative.
6. Import an HEC-RAS alternative as detailed in Creating an HEC-RAS Alternative.
7. Import an HEC-FIA alternative as detailed in Create a HEC-FIA Alternative.
8. Create and configure other model alternatives as desired. Model alternative creation and configuration are explained further in this section.
9. Save the watershed.
