MetInterp output settings provide controls over file type for saving grids, location of that file save, and Map Windows in which the results will be displayed. In the figures below, there is an example of saving to DSS and non-DSS files.

1Output provider selection. The list of providers is dependent on if it can support the defined output grid.
2Output provider save type. The list of save types is dependent on what types can support the defined output grid.
3DSS file specification field, and associated file selection button.
4DSS record A-Part field.
5DSS record B-Part field.
6DSS record F-Part field. Note that if there are more than one interpolator, the F-Part will be replaced with the interpolator name.
7Rule for adding interpolation name for versioning purposes. If multiple interpolators can be specified in a single run, the interpolator name will replace or be added to the F-Part, depending on the user selection.
8Results display settings table. In this table, the user can select Map Windows to load output data into after compute is complete.

Description

1Output directory field and associated directory selection button. This is available for all non-DSS outputs. If there are more than one interpolator, then a subdirectory is created for each interpolator.
2File mask field. This must be date masked so that each grid can be written to an independent file.
3Default pattern button to replace the file mask with the default. The default pattern is displayed in item 2.
4Sample file is a sample of the file mask filled out with dates, providing the user with information about what the output file will look like.
