Alex Davis

Alex is the subject matter expert in applying HEC-HMS modeling within the HEC-RTS framework. He joined the team in March 2020 after spending two years in the Hydraulics and Hydrology Branch at the Nashville District.

Russell Errett

Russell is the CWMS Modeling Team Lead and Technical Lead for CWMS-Vue. He is a subject matter specialist with expertise in real-time water management operations and modeling. Russell joined the team in 2023, bringing nearly 18 years of valuable experience from the St. Louis District, where he previously worked across the Water Management Office, Hydraulics and Hydrology Branch, and the Operations Division.

Simon Evans

Simon is the CWMS Decision Support Tools Developer Team Lead and the Technical Lead for HEC-FIA. His expertise is concentrated in real-time water management operations, hydraulic modeling, and ensemble forecasting. Simon joined the team in 2022, building on 10 years of operational experience with the Corps of Engineers—five years as a Water Manager in the Baltimore District and five years in the Hydrology and Hydraulics Branch of the Los Angeles District.

Kat Feingold

Kat is a subject matter expert in Meteorology, real-time water management operations, and HEC-MetVue. She provides critical support, working across both the data and modeling aspects of the software. Kat joined the team after serving six years as a Water Manager in the Savannah District.

Matt Fleming

Matt is the Water Management Systems Division Chief, a role he took on when he joined the team in July 2023. He brings over 20 years of deep experience from the Hydrology and Hydraulics / Hydrology and Statistics Divisions. During that time, Matt was the subject matter expert for hydrologic modeling and statistical analysis, and he was responsible for leading software development and support.

Fauwaz Hanbali

Fauwaz is the CWMS Technical Lead and HEC-MetVue Technical Lead. Fauwaz joined the team in 2002 and is a subject matter expert in real-time hydrometeorological data management and analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and reservoir system simulation.

Oskar Hurst

Krishna Khatri

Krishna is a subject matter expert in HEC-RTS modeling, climate and uncertainty analysis, database management (GoldenGate and Python), and machine learning applications. He joined the team in November 2023, bringing over 20 years of experience in water resources engineering and hydrology.

Eric Novotny

Eric is the lead for the Data Team within the WMS division. He joined HEC in 2021, bringing 12 years of experience from the field (six years at the St. Paul District in water management and six years in consulting). He is a subject matter expert in the CWMS database, ETL processes, AWS systems, Python scripting, and grid processing.

Mike Perryman

Mike is a subject matter expert in several key areas, including the CWMS database, HEC-DSS, and advanced scripting using Python and Jython. Mike initially joined the team in 2002 after spending over 18 years in water management data processing for the Tulsa District, retiring and then returning as a reemployed annuitant in 2020.

Andy Richter

Andy is the Project Manager for the CWMS and WMES programs and serves as a subject matter expert in applying HEC-RAS modeling within the HEC-RTS framework. He joined the team in January 2023, bringing nearly 20 years of experience from the St. Louis District’s Hydraulics and Hydrology Branch.

Karl Tarbet

Karl is the lead for HEC-DSS and HEC-DssVue. Before coming to HEC in 2018, he spent 18 years as a water resources engineer with the Bureau of Reclamation in Boise, Idaho.
