The Message Pane provides a continuous log of HEC-RTS activities, such as opening a watershed, launching map windows, and accessing HEC-DSS files. From the moment you start HEC-RTS until you close it, system output messages appear in this pane.
While the Messages tab is always visible, additional task-specific tabs (like MetVue Data Preprocessing, Extract, and Forecast Run Mapping Messages) will automatically appear depending on your current actions.
Shortcut Menu
Right-click anywhere within the Message Pane to access the shortcut menu.
Available Options
Copy - Copies all messages from the active tab to your clipboard.
Clear - Deletes all messages in the active tab.
Select All - Highlights/selects all messages in the active tab.
AutoScroll - Toggles whether the pane automatically scrolls down as new messages arrive (enabled by default).
Stay on Top - Pins the Message Pane so it remains visible above other windows.
Save to File - Opens a window to save all messages in the active tab to a text file.
