The Forecast Run Details section of the Modeling module provides information on the forecast runs and their associated model alternatives that are part of the active forecast.

By default, the first forecast run appears in the map window. The active forecast run is shown in bold, indicating it is the one currently displayed in the map window. If the checkbox next to a forecast run is selected, you can view it's output in the map window's model schematic.
Currently, HEC-ResSim is the only application that displays output results within model elements for multiple forecast runs within the Modeling map window. However, time series icons support multiple run outputs.
Right-clicking on a forecast run name in the Forecast Run Details section opens a shortcut menu. This menu provides access to several actions relevant to the selected forecast run.

Each forecast run includes a list of model alternatives. Right-clicking on a model alternative opens a shortcut menu that provides quick access to tools and editors useful for model calibration. For example, with an HEC-HMS model alternative, the shortcut menu may include options such as the Combined Parameter Editor, which is helpful during real-time forecasting and model adjustment.

Compute Options
The shortcut menu also includes several compute options that control how the forecast processes each model alternative:
- Compute - Runs the forecast through the selected model alternative.
- Skip Compute - Excludes the model alternative from the forecast run. Its icon will display a blue arrow pointing down, and this menu item will be checked.
- Compute Through - Runs the forecast up to and through the selected model alternative. The icon will display a red line and red up arrow, and this menu item will be checked.
In the image below, the HEC-HMS model alternative displays the blue arrow, indicating it is skipped.

In the image below, the HEC-ResSim model alternative displays the red up arrow, indicating the forecast will stop after running through it.

You can expand a model alternative to show its related map schematic elements. Right-clicking on any of these elements opens a shortcut menu specific to the model type and element selected. The selected element will also be highlighted in the Model Schematic displayed in the map window. Available menu options will vary depending on the model and the type of element selected.
