The HEC-ResSim water quality data model consists of multiple types of input and output data, data storage and management, and linkages between components. The HEC-ResSim Water Quality (WQ) Data Model shows a schematic of the water quality data model for a typical watershed with water quality enabled. To set up a water quality data model in an existing HEC-ResSim watershed, properties of the watershed must first be set to include water quality, as described in Enable Water Quality Modeling. With water quality enabled, HEC-ResSim GUI includes a fourth Module (see HEC-ResSim Modules with Water Quality) that provides access to specific types of water quality data within the watershed (Water Quality Input Datasets).
