From the WQConstituent Set Editor (Figure 5.1), from the WQ Constituent Set menu (Figure 5.3), click New. The Create New WQ Constituent Set dialog box (Figure 5.4) opens.
Enter a name for the water quality constituent set in the Name box (Figure 5.4). Enter a description (optional, but recommended) in the Description box (Figure 5.4).
The Create New WQ Constituent Set dialog box (Figure 5.4) checks that the entered WQ constituent set Name (e.g., WQ_ConstituentSet1 in Figure 5.7) is unique. If the name is not unique, then a Duplicate Name message dialog (similar to Figure 4.16) opens informing the user that the name already exists and must be changed.
From the Duplicate Name message dialog, click OK (Figure 4.16) to close the message dialog. From the Create New WQ Constituent Set dialog box (Figure 5.4) change the name in the Name box, and click OK (Figure 5.4). The WQ constituent set dataset opens in the WQConstituent Set Editor (Figure 5.7).
Figure 5.7 – WQ Constituent Set Editor – New WQ Constituents Set
For a newly created WQ constituent set (e.g., WQ_ConstituentSet1 in Figure 5.7), the rows in the table in the WQConstituent Set Editor can only be filled using the WQ Constituent Selector dialog. Refer to Section 5.3 for instructions on adding and editing WQ constituent(s).
If the WQConstituent Set Editor contains multiple WQ constituent sets (e.g., Figure 5.11), then before toggling between multiple sets, click the Apply button to save changes. However, if the user fails to save changes, then the a Save Changes? message dialog opens (similar to Figure 2.24) and prompts the user to save edits before navigating between constituent sets.
