To add water quality (WQ) modeling to an existing HEC-ResSim watershed, set properties of the watershed to include water quality. To turn on the water quality ability from the HEC-ResSim main window, from the Watershed Setup module (figure below), from the Edit menu, click Watershed Properties option (figure below).

The Watershed Data Editor (figure below) will open. From the Watershed Data Editor (figure below), check the Use Water Quality checkbox to turn on the water quality modeling capability, and click OK (figure below). The Watershed Data Editor (figure below) will close, and the HEC-ResSim main window updates with the new water quality modeling abilities. Note that the Module list now contains a Water Quality (figure below) module. The Water Quality module only appears in the Module (figure below) dropdown list when the HEC-ResSim watershed is set to use water quality (figure below). Note that the Toolbar now contains the water quality Station Tool (figure below).
