A created geometry dataset can be viewed in the HEC-ResSim map window schematic. To view a created dataset in the map window schematic, from the HEC-ResSim main window (Figure 3.1), from the module data, from the Geometry dropdown (Figure 4.1), select the dataset of interest (e.g., GeometryData1 selected in Figure 4.1). The selected geometry dataset displays in the map window schematic. Note: A geometry dataset automatically displays in the map window in the Geometry Editor (Figure 4.14) when it is created (see Section 4.4).
To edit an existing geometry dataset, from the HEC-ResSim main window (Figure 3.1), from the Water Quality menu (Figure 3.2), click Geometry. The Geometry Editor (Figure 4.14) opens. From the Geometry Editor (Figure 4.14), use the navigation bar (refer to Section 2.6.1) to select the geometry dataset of interest (e.g., GeometryData1 selected in Figure 4.14). Note: It is important to select the correct dataset when viewing, editing, copying, or deleting a dataset. Continue by editing the selected dataset (refer to Section 4.5, 4.6, 4.7, 4.8, or 4.9 for modifying the extent, connections, cells or layers, regions, or met stations, respectively). When finished editing a geometry dataset, click OK (Figure 4.46) to save the entered data and close the Geometry Editor (Figure 4.46).
