The next step after assigning model alternative keys is to create new forecasts.

From the Setup tab within the CAVI window, select Models → Forecast Runs...

Select the New Run button and name the new model NoQPF with a description of "No Future Precipitation Forecast."

Notice that the HMS model alternative has already populated, but the MetVue alternative has not. This is because there is only one HMS alternative, so it is selected by default, but there are two MetVue alternatives, so the user must select which one to pair with HMS for the forecast.

Select the 0: NoQPF MetVue alternative and select Apply to save the forecast. 

The NoQPF forecast has been saved and has moved up above into the existing forecasts list.

Create the QPF forecast by selecting New Run and naming it QPF with a description of "7-Day Precipitation Forecast."

Select the 7: QPF MetVue alternative and select Apply to save the forecast. 

The QPF forecast has been saved and has also moved up into the existing forecasts list.

Select OK to close the Forecast Run Editor.

Next, the model linking for each forecast must be defined.
