The Coordinated Plot in new in HEC-RAS version 7.0!

The Coordinated Plot attempts to unify the geospatial component and results output for each computation Node through the composition of a mapping window and plots. As shown in the figure below, the user is presented with the option to select from a list of Node Types, or use the Map window, to select the computation output location.  Once selected, you can then choose which Plot Type to view.

The Coordinated Plot is very similar to the Stage and Flow Hydrograph plot except it adds the Map window (and associated map controls) and allows for plotting multiple charts at once.

The Coordinated Plot allows for four individual Plot Types: Profile Plot , Time Series Plot , Rating Curve , and the Hydraulic Property Tables .   Once a computation Node Type is selected, choose from the Plot Type to view multiple plots simultaneously. The plots are customizable using from the Settings button located at the side of the Legend below each plot. Settings allow you to access the a backing table and select plot Variables.  The table can be accessed (and hidden) by clicking on the Table button.  The plot can be hidden (and viewed) by clicking on the Plot button.   Variables are dependent on the Node Type selected.

The plot window has has many options dependent on the Node Type selected.  The Node Type references the computational element used in HEC-RAS and includes Rivers, Cross Sections, Bridges/Culverts, Inline Structures, Lateral Structures, Storage Areas, SA/2D Connections, Pump Stations, Reference Points, Reference Lines, Reference Areas, Boundary Condition Lines, Calibration Regions, 2D Flow Areas, 2D Cells, 2D Faces, 2D Facepoints, Pipe Nodes, and Pipe Conduits. The Node Type list will only show the user what nodes are in the current model.  The selection of the Node Type will populate a table in the left portion of the window and as a row is selected, the Plot will update to reflect the selection.
