Introduction

This document summarizes a series of test cases performed to verify and validate calculations within HEC-ResSim (Hydrologic Engineering Center's Reservoir System Simulation) software.

The purpose of performing these tests with HEC-ResSim is to demonstrate that the HEC-ResSim computational code is working correctly, as well as to demonstrate that mass balance is not violated when applicable.

Overview

The table below displays the HEC-ResSim operational calculations validation and verification reports.

This is the list of HEC-ResSim's physical calculations to be verified and validated. Initial test cases have been developed for twelve of these calculations. Documentation of test results is yet to be developed. Further expansion on these tests can be used to validate more complex scenarios that go beyond the basic calculations.
