The WQ Parameter Set Editor contains two commands in the Schematic menu(WQ Parameter Set Editor – Schematic Menu Commands): Temperature and NSMI. These menu commands provide the schematic representations for the Water Temperature Simulation Module (WTSM) and the Nutrient Simulation Module I (NSMI). WQ Parameter Set Editor – Schematic Menu Commands
WTSM
From the WQParameter Set Editor, from the WQ Parameter Set menu, click WTSM. The Water Temperature Simulation Schematic window (WQ Parameter Set Editor – Water Temperature Simulation Schematic Window) opens. The Water Temperature Simulation Schematic window provides a diagram of the sources and sinks of heat at the air- and sediment-water interfaces used in the Temperature modeling library (see Water Temperature Simulation Module) for simulating water temperature. The change in water temperature is computed from the energy balance. The energy balance accounts for heat inputs and outputs from the forcing functions and for the heat exchange at the water surface and at the sediment–water interface. Click OK to close the WTSM Schematic window. WQ Parameter Set Editor – Water Temperature Simulation Schematic Window
NSMI
From the WQParameter Set Editor, from the WQ Parameter Set menu, click the NSMI menu command. The NSMI Nutrient Simulation Schematic window (WQ Parameter Set Editor – NMSI Nutrient Simulation Schematic Window) opens. This schematic window provides a diagram of the NSMI library (see Nutrient Simulation Module I). Click OK to close the NSMI Schematic window.
