You can edit HEC-DSS data in tabular form or from a graphical editor (if you have the appropriate permissions).

Tabular Edits

To edit data in a tabular form:

  1. Select one or more pathnames. The pathname(s) will appear in the Selected Pathname List.
  2. From the Edit menu, click Tabular Edit. A Tabular Edit dialog opens with the data for the selected pathname(s) displayed.

  3. The columns in gray cannot be edited. You can edit individual cells, insert rows, and delete rows.
  4. From the File menu, click Save. The Saved Data Set message appears, telling you that you have saved a record. Click OK, and the Saved Data Set message closes.
  5. From the File menu, click Close and the Tabular Edit dialog closes.

Graphical Edits

To edit data using the graphical editor:

  1. Select one or more pathnames and the pathname(s) will appear in the Selected Pathname List
  2. From the Edit menu, click Graphical Edit, and the Graphical Editor opens.

  3. The Graphical Editor allows you to edit the data in a graphical mode. This editor is very similar to the Data Validation Editor from the Acquisition Module. You can draw in edits using the single point or multi-point edit tools, or you can enter changes to the data in the Estimate/Entry column of the table below the plot.
  4. Once you have completed all edits, click on the Accept All button to apply the changes to the data.
  5. From the File menu, click Save, and the Save Changes message appears asking if you want to save the changes. Click OK, and the Save Changes message closes.
  6. The Saved Data Set message opens telling you which record(s) was saved. Click OK, and the Saved Data Set message closes.
  7. From the File menu, click Close, and the Graphical Editor closes.
