HEC-FIA Results
This section provides a brief overview of the HEC-FIA reports available in HEC-RTS. For detailed information, refer to the HEC-FIA Users Manual.
Accessing Reports
To view available reports for an HEC-FIA model alternative, select the model alternative in the Forecast Tree and click the Reports tab.
There are multiple reports that you can view, including:
- Structure Damage Reports
- Flood Damage Reduction Reports
- A Life Loss Report
- An ECAM Report
- Impact Response Reports
- A Critical Infrastructure Report
Individual Structure Damage Reports
This report provides detailed damage and life safety information by structure. It includes:
- Damage categories (structure, content, vehicle, other)
- Depth of flooding
- Population at risk (day/night)
- Percent not mobilized, evacuating, clear
- Loss of life estimates
For deterministic computations, the report displays a single result.
Aggregated Consequence Reports
This report summarizes impacts by user-defined boundaries. By default, results are aggregated by Emergency Planning Zones.
In the report:
- Use the View By dropdown to select aggregation boundaries.
- Choose a results tab: Economic, Structures, Agriculture, Life Loss, or Summary.
- The Summary tab includes urban and agricultural damage, total damage, flooded acreage and structures, and impacted population.

Flood Damage Reduction Reports
These reports are available only if the model includes hydraulic data and holdout inundation configurations.
The Flood Damage Reduction Aggregated Report displays computed impacts by holdout distribution area and reservoirs.

The Flood Damage Reduction Project Report displays computed impacts by project and reservoirs.

Detailed Life Loss Reports
This report is available if life loss computation is configured in the model. The default view displays the total life loss computed. Using the View By list, you can change the report to display by Emergency Planning Zone, Damage Category, or Occupancy Type.

ECAM Reports
These reports are available if the model includes both life loss computation and the Economic Consequences Assessment Model (ECAM).
There are two report tabs:
- Output Tab: Displays economic output by sector (e.g., forestry, food processing) for a selected county.
- Employment Tab: Shows labor impacts by sector for the selected county.
Impact Response By Rule Reports
This report is available only if the HEC-FIA model alternative includes an Impact Response element. It displays the hydrograph for each defined rule, showing the rule's threshold elevation in relation to the hydrograph.
Use the dropdown list or navigation arrows to cycle through available rules (e.g., Russian River near Hopland Moderate Flood Stage). The report displays the hydrograph plot and relevant rule information in the Impact and Response sections.

Impact Response Summary Reports
This report is available only if the HEC-FIA model alternative includes an Impact Response element. It provides an aggregated summary of all defined rules, showing how many times each rule's threshold condition was met during the simulation.

Impact Response by Location Reports
This report is available only if the HEC-FIA model alternative includes an Impact Response element. It organizes and displays Impacts and Responses by location. If multiple rules exist at a single location, they are grouped and shown together. You can navigate between locations using the dropdown menu or the forward/back arrows.

Critical Infrastructure Reports
This report is available if the model includes a critical infrastructure inventory. It shows only infrastructure inundated during the forecast simulation.
The report lists each inundated infrastructure point, including:
- Ground elevation
- Water surface elevation
- Water depth
- Arrival time
- Duration
