You can use plots or tables in HEC-RTS to view data from the Acquisition and Visualization modules and model results from the Modeling module.

Plots

HEC-RTS plots display data and results specific to the active module. The data available for viewing is defined in the Setup module at Time Series Icons locations. In the Modeling module, results can also be viewed at time series icons or specific modeling elements, such as reservoirs. In the Acquisition module, a plot for a time series icon might show incoming data at a specific location.

The plot includes the location name in the title bar, axis labels, and a color-coded legend to identify the data. When the plot shows results from a model alternative, a dashed vertical line marks the time of simulation (forecast time).

You can use the Zoom Tool to zoom in (click and drag to draw a box around the area you want to enlarge) or to zoom out (right-click anywhere on the plot).

You can customize the appearance of plots using various editors. To access these editors, use the Select Tool and right-click on different elements of the plot (such as lines or axes). Alternatively, you can access the editors through the Edit and View menus in the Plot dialog.

Tables

The same data and information displayed in a plot can also be viewed in tabular form. Like plots, the data and results shown in the table depend on the properties you've defined for each time series icon. You can customize the table's appearance using commands available in the menu bar of the table dialog.
