Background

HEC-MetVue reads spatially distributed data for visualization, analysis and processing. This data can be provided in a variety of formats, and may be regularly or irregularly distributed spatially. Regardless of the input format, or spatial distribution, HEC-MetVue triangulates the data, and displays it as either a Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) or a Triangulated Regular Network (TRN). Since the data is treated as a TIN or TRN, data can be rapidly visualized and altered in space. This enables the user to review and process data quickly, without requiring the input data to be regularly distributed.
