Open the CWMS CAVI

Launch the CAVI executable ("CAVI.exe" ), which is available within the "CAVI" directory of the CWMS software package.

Open the Eau Galle River Watershed

A reminder that this tutorial provides instructions that assume the workshop files were saved to the following directory path: C:\Workshops\MetVue\HEC-MetVue_CWMS_SetupOrientation

If the workshop files are saved in a different location, the provided directory paths must be updated to reflect the alternate location.

From the File Menu, select Open Watershed

Select the Edit button to add a new Available Watershed location:

Select Add Location... and name it CWMS 3.5 with a location of: C:/Workshops/MetVue/HEC-MetVue_CWMS_SetupOrientation/HEC-MetVue_CWMS_SetupOrientation_Start/EauGalleCAVI

Select OK to create the new watershed location, then OK again to return to the Open Watershed Dialog.

Notice the available location has now been populated and the EauGalleRiver watershed is available.

Highlight the watershed name and select OK to open.

The Eau Galle River watershed has an HEC-HMS model (Snow), but no other models yet. An HEC-MetVue project will be added to the watershed in Task 2.

Continue on to Task 2a to import an existing HEC-MetVue project or Task 2b to create a new HEC-MetVue project.
