This workshop on coincident frequency analysis walks through two methods of analysis. Task 1 is an interior flood example using HEC-SSP to perform the total probability method, assuming independence between the variables. Task 2 uses an Excel spreadsheet to evaluate the same coincident frequency problem with Monte Carlo simulation, including evaluating and incorporating the correlation between variables.
