The current version of HEC-SSP allows the user to compute linear correlation coefficients using two or more data sets. This analysis allows users to quantify how closely related one or more data sets are to each other.  For instance, the Correlation Analysis can be used to explore how closely related annual maximum flows are at gage locations that are within the same area.  The data sets used within the correlation analysis can be comprised of either time series or paired data records.  A correlation matrix populated with linear correlation coefficients can be created within this analysis.

This chapter discusses in detail how to use the Correlation Analysis editor within HEC-SSP.
