For this workshop, all of the input files are stored in the folder Using_HEC-RAS_FIA_Within_FRA_Computes. The files in the folder include the HEC-WAT study "RussianRiver_simplified.sty" used in this workshop.
Open the HEC-WAT Study
1. Double-click the HEC-WAT shortcut icon
to launch the HEC-WAT software.
2. From the HEC-WAT main window, from the File menu, click Open Study. An Open Study browser window opens. Navigate to the HEC-WAT study (*.sty) file and select the RussianRiver_simplified.sty file, and click Open. The HEC-WAT study will load.
3. From the HEC-WAT main window, from the Study Tree, expand the Models tree and select RAS from the tree.
4. From the Content Pane, take note of the HEC-RAS model alternatives (i.e., HEC-RAS plans) that have been imported into the HEC-WAT study (i.e., POR_simple and FRA_simple).
5. From the HEC-WAT main window, from the Study Tree, from the Models tree, select FIA.
6. From the Content Pane, take note of the HEC-FIA model alternative that is available in the HEC-WAT study (i.e., GridsOnly).
